Ryan S. Burke, born Walnut Creek, California; licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, admitted October, 2005; the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida; and the U.S. Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Education:  Florida State University (B.S. History and Social Science 2002); Stetson University College of Law (J.D. cum laude 2005 and Certificate of Concentration in Advocacy)

Member:  The Florida Bar and the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

Following his graduation from Stetson, Mr. Burke worked as an associate at a Clearwater firm and practiced in the areas of automobile and property subrogation, construction litigation and bodily injury litigation.

At Stetson, Mr. Burke was a member of the Moot Court Board. He competed in the Robert Orseck Memorial Moot Court Competition in June, 2004, where his team advanced to the semifinals. In 2004, he was selected as one of the members of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team and traveled to Vienna, Austria to compete in the largest single moot court event in the world. Mr. Burke also participated at the Ruby R. Vale Corporate Moot Court Competition in Delaware, in March, 2005.

During law school, Mr. Burke interned for the Honorable William P. Levens, Circuit Court Judge for the 13th Judicial Circuit and for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Jenkins, U.S. Magistrate Judge. He was also employed as a summer law clerk for the 13th Judicial Circuit Court, a law clerk for a Tampa liability defense firm and volunteered at the Pinellas County School Board Attorney’s Office.

Mr. Burke joined the Firm on April 30, 2007. Mr. Burke primarily practices in the areas of first party insurance defense, third party insurance defense, insurance coverage litigation, products liability, construction litigation and complex/bodily injury litigation.
